Arielle: |
Dani, why are you sitting in the dark. Turn on the light. |
Daniella: |
I"ll turn on the light when there's electricity. |
Arielle: |
What do you mean? |
Daniella: |
Didn't you hear? There's a power outage in the entire neighborhood. |
Arielle: |
Why? What happened? |
Daniella: |
Don't know. I asked Mr. Katz and he said he'd check with city hall. |
Arielle: |
That's a problem. I have work to prepare for tomorrow. I must use the computer. |
Daniella: |
And I wanted to watch a movie on television. |
Arielle: |
Maybe we'll light candles . . .at least there will be light when we eat. |
Daniella: |
Another problem. If there's no electricity there's no cooktop. |
Arielle: |
That sucks! I'd planned (thought) to heat up what was left from yesterday. |
[Suddenly the light goes on and the refrigerator starts working]
|
Daniella: |
Oh' thank God! Everything worked out!

הֶעָרָה
What is the word אֶת ?
See 2.15 for an explanation of ה "the"
When the word that the ה is attached to is a direct object, then אֶת comes before the word.(We often use violet or another color for things you haven't learned yet.)
